The officer arrived at the scene and located the male sitting on the floor next to the front cash registers. The female was located in the parking lot outside the store. Both were identified as 17 years old.

The CVS employee told police the male had been coming into the store. She suspected him of stealing because he would come in and never buy anything. She notified another employee and they watched the male grab two 24-ounce cans of Budweiser beer from the shelf, after which she confronted him, she told police.

Police said they searched the vehicle and found a pint of vodka in the driver's-side door compartment. The vehicle was impounded, the report said.

Police then advised the male he was under arrest for larceny and minor in possession. He was handcuffed, searched and placed in the back of the patrol car. He was lodged awaiting bond. The female was cited for MIP, given a court date and released to a family member at the scene.
