Probation for Cousin of Detroit Lion Charged in Canton Gun Incident

The 20-year-old Cincinnati man is also sentenced to community service.

A cousin of Detroit Lion Louis Delmas, charged with assault after allegedly brandishing a gun on Ford Road, has been sentenced to one year of probation and community service, according to a statement released Thursday by the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office.

The ruling regarding Ravelle Sadler, 20, of Cincinnati, comes under the Holmes Youthful Trainee Act. If Sadler completes all conditions of probation, the court will allow him an opportunity to expunge the criminal record. He was charged with three counts of felonious assault.

Sadler was in which he and Delmas were traveling along Ford Road when three Canton men pulled alongside the truck Sadler was driving. One of the Canton men was wearing a mask from the horror movie Halloween, according to the Canton Police report. When the vehicle pulled alongside Sadler's truck a second time, Sadler had a gun in his hand, according to the police report. Police said the gun recovered belonged to Delmas, who told investigators he was asleep at the time of the incident. No one else was charged in the incident.
