The vehicle owner told police she last saw the backpack on Sept. 25.

Police also responded to the home of a couple living in the same neighborhood for a report of thefts from two vehicles at the same residence, according to a police report.

A woman at the residence told police her Chevy Venture was parked in the driveway and was locked, but she noticed her glove box was open and papers were strewn about the vehicle and a container with loose change was stolen, the report said.

Some paint was observed missing from the top of the door, consistent with the use of a “slim-jim” to open the vehicle door, the report said.

The woman’s husband told police someone stole a Rigid-brand saw six-inch circular saw in an orange bag with two extra saw blades from his vehicle, the report said.

On the 11000 block of nearby Gold Arbor Road, police responded to a report of someone breaking into yet another vehicle, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner told police someone broke into his Jeep Grand Cherokee between midnight and 6 a.m. on Sept. 25, the report said and took the keys to his snowmobile and enclosed snowmobile trailer.

The man told police the vehicle was parked in his driveway, and he told police the suspect also had apparently tried unsuccessfully to open the garage door, as the exterior garage door handles were turned, the report said.

Police also met with a Gold Arbor Road resident for a report of items stolen from a pick-up truck, according to a police report.

The owner of the truck told police between 11 p.m. on Sept. 24 and 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 25, someone took a Snap-On- brand impact wrench, Pioneer car stereo, various tools and a Craftsman-brand wrench from inside his red 1987 Ford pick-up truck, the report said.

The man told police someone went through his white 1993 Ford and his red 1993 Ford Mustang, but nothing was missing from the vehicles, the report said.

The man told police all the vehicles were parked in his driveway unlocked, and no damage was reported to the vehicle.

Another vehicle owner living at the 11000 block of Gold Arbor told police someone that between midnight and 7:15 a.m., someone entered his silver Ford Focus that was parked in his driveway and took some loose change and two golf clubs from the vehicle, the report said. The man told police the vehicle was unlocked.

Police have no suspects in the rash of break-ins.
