Saline Man Slashed with Knife Outside of Canton Sam's Club

Canton man expected to face charges after confrontation Sunday.

A Canton man likely will face charges following allegations he spat on a Saline man and cut him with a knife during a confrontation Sunday afternoon at Sam's Club, 39800 Ford Road in Canton, the Canton Observer reported.

Canton Police Detective Sgt. Dave Shreiner told the Observer police are investigating the incident, which occurred at about 4 p.m. in the Sam's Club parking lot, the Observer reported.

According to the report, the victim, a 41-year-old Saline resident, was hospitalized with a wound on his forearm, but his injuries did not appear to be life-threatening.

The suspect, a 44-year-old Canton man, was arrested by Canton Police near the Home Depot store across the street, the report said.

A message was left Monday with Shreiner seeking further information.
