Separate Fires Damage Two Canton Mobile Homes

No injuries reported; both homes were vacant, according to Canton Fire officials.

Two mobile homes were seriously damaged in separate fires, one on Tuesday evening and the other on Wednesday morning, according to statement issued by the Canton Fire Department. No injuries were reported.

Both homes are in the Sherwood Village Mobile Home Park, 41275 Old Michigan Ave., near Haggerty Road.

Dispatchers received the first call for help at 11:38 p.m. for a fire on the 500 block of the mobile home park.

Firefighters quickly doused the fire, which was contained in a single room of the mobile home, the heavy smoke had damaged the entire interior according to fire officials.

Firefighters responded to a first call at a second mobile home, on the same block, at 8:35 Wednesday morning. Flames were visible inside the home, fire officials said and though they were quickly extinguished, the interior of that home had extensive damage.

Both mobile homes were vacant. The two fires remain under investigation.
