Tire, Rim Stolen From Vehicle at Plymouth Township Dealership

The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Plymouth Township Police responded Oct. 8 to Blackwell Ford, 41001 Plymouth Road, for a report of someone stealing a tire and rim from a new vehicle, according to a police report.

The dealership’s general sales manager told police someone stole the rear passenger side tire and rim from a gray 2013 Ford Edge, the report said.

The manager told police he discovered the car on a jack with the tire and rim missing while parked in the front row off of Plymouth Road on the east side of the lot.

The manager told police he did not notice any other damage to the vehicle or any other items missing.

This isn't the first time tires have been stolen from a vehicle at the dealership. A similar incident was reported in December 2010.

Van window smashed out in Plymouth Township

Plymouth Township Police responded Oct. 8 to the 11000 block of Gold Arbor Road for a report of damage to a vehicle, according to a police report.

The vehicle owner told police that between 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 7 and 7 a.m. on Oct. 8, someone smashed out the rear door window of his white 2000 Chevrolet van, the report said. He told police the van was parked in his driveway. No other damage was reported.
