Township Firefighters Respond to ACH Plant for Apparent Fire

Workers evacuate plant Tuesday as firefighters work on building.

Firefighters from Plymouth Township and Northville Township responded late Tuesday to the ACH plant, 14425 N. Sheldon Road in Plymouth, for an apparent fire.

At about 7 p.m. Tuesday, workers were standing in the parking lot of the plant while firefighters from the two departments battled an apparent small fire more than 100 yards from where the workers had gathered.

Neither the firefighters on the scene nor the workers at the plant were authorized to speak with media, and the Plymouth Township Fire Department was unable to provide a spokesman Tuesday night who could detail what had happened at the plant.
