Unknown Suspect Attempts to Break into Plymouth Township Home

The following information was provided by the Plymouth Township Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

An unknown suspect attempted to break into a home in the 48000 block of Colony Farm Circle on Oct. 2, according to a Plymouth Township Police report.

The homeowner told police she left the house secure at 9:15 a.m. and said when her father returned home at 4:05 p.m., he had a hard time opening the front door, the report said.

She said she went through the garage and discovered that the front door had been damaged, according to the report. The officer noted that the front door had a broken handle and the door frame was cracked, the report said.

However, according to the report, the suspect never got inside the home and no items were taken.

Man's Bike Stolen from Apartment

An unknown suspect stole a bicycle from a home on the 41000 block of Wilcox Road, according to a police report.

The bicycle owner said his black specialized Rock Hopper Comp Mountain Bike was stolen from the basement of his apartment building sometime between 10 a.m. Sept. 29 and 7 p.m. Oct. 1, the report said. He said the bicycle was not locked up, and he does not know who took it, according to the report.
