Video: Plymouth Police Seek Information in Hit-and-Run Incident

Video shows car jumping curb, striking and injuring pedestrian.

Plymouth Police are seeking information after an apparent Dec. 29 hit-and-run incident left a 30-year-old Plymouth man hospitalized with major injuries.

According to a news release by Plymouth Police, the incident occurred at about 12:30 a.m. on North Main Street near Mill Street. It stated that the driver of the suspected hit-and-run vehicle jumped the curb at the intersection, striking a man who was walking on the sidewalk and sideswiping a light pole before fleeing southbound on Main Street toward downtown.

Police released security camera footage today from a camera mounted at nearby that shows the incident occurring. According to the news release, the suspected vehicle is a light-colored, newer model Ford Escape that is believed to have driver's side damage and a missing or shattered side view mirror.

According to the news release, the man still is hospitalized and undergoing treatment for his injuries.
