Woman Arrested in Connection With Shoplifting Incident at Kroger

Plymouth Township Police were dispatched March 18 to Kroger, 44525 W. Ann Arbor Road, for a report of a shoplifter in custody, according to a police report.

The store’s loss prevention officer told police they saw the woman conceal several items in her purse while shopping, the report indicated. The employee told police she then saw the woman go through a self-checkout, pay for items in her shopping cart but not pay for items in her purse, the report indicated.

The loss prevention officer told police the woman was stopped at the entrance of the store and was taken to the loss prevention officer to wait for police.

Police cited the woman on a charge of third-degree retail fraud.
