Woman Forgets Purse in Kmart Shopping Cart, Returns to Find it Stolen

Police said a woman loaded her purchases then drove away without her purse.

On July 16, a woman reported her purse stolen from a shopping cart at the Plymouth Township Kmart after she forgot it and left, according to a police report.

The woman told police that around 10:15 a.m. she loaded her purchased items into her car and drove away. After about 15 minutes, she realized she left her purse in the cart, the report said.

The woman said that when she returned to the store, she located the cart she used because  her water bottle was still there, but her purse was gone. Customer Service told her a purse had not been turned in, according to the report.
