5 (Liberty Fest) Things You Need to Know, June 17, 2011

A firefighters spaghetti dinner, Marley-ritaville, magic, "Shrek," pancakes and a Marines drill team are among the scheduled highlights.

1. The fighter's No. 2289 Charity Foundation's all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner (prepared by ) is Friday. Tickets cost $7 for teens and adults and $5 for children 5 to 12, while diners under 5 years old eat free. Proceeds benefit families victimized by house fires.

2. On the Canton LIVE! Stage from 1-6 p.m.: musician performances; 4-6 p.m.: Rick Lieder's Marley-ritaville band; 7-7:45 p.m.: the Jason Magic Show; and at dusk, Movie Under the Stars: Shrek Forever After.

3: You can ride your bike through during Liberty Fest, but organizers are asking attendees to keep dogs, skateboards and in-line skates at home for safety's sake.

4. Looking ahead: The U.S. Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon takes the Canton LIVE! stage at 6 p.m. Saturday.
