Five Things You Need to Know June 15, 2011

A call for ties, a networking coffee and a temporary reduction in hours at Summit on the Park.

One: If you are a dad with a great Father's Day tie, Canton Patch needs you. Email a photo of yourself — wearing some outfit that includes the tie — to editor Peg McNichol, peg.mcnichol@patch.com.

Two: The U2 tribute band, Zooropa opens Canton's Thursday concert series at Heritage Park, at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. is located between and the building. This is a bring-your-own-blanket (or lawn chairs) event, which is free — though donations won't be rejected.

Three: will host a Green Lantern movie release party for teens at , in Canton Corners, 42727 Ford Rd., from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday. Expect HeroClix Battles, trivia, video games, animated shorts, prizes and followed by a trip to see Green Lantern. This is a buy-your-own ticket event.

Four: Canton Chamber of Commerce, with sponsor , will host a networking coffee from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Thursday, at Showroom of Elegance. Reservations are encouraged: Email aadmin@cantonchamber.com or call 734-453-4040.

Five: With the 20th Liberty Fest kicking off Thursday, the area in and around Heritage Park and by default, will be bustling for the remainder of the week. The Summit's hours: 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
