Flags Lowered Today Honoring U.S. Army Specialist Chazray C. Clark

U.S. Army Spc. Chazray C. Clark of Ecorse was killed by a roadside bomb in Kandahar, Afghanistan on Sept. 18.

Michigan Lt. Gov. Brian Calley ordered flags lowered to half staff today throughout the state in honor of U.S. Army Specialist Chazray C. Clark.

Spc. Clark, 24, of Ecorse, died Sept. 18 in Kandahar province, Afghanistan, of injuries suffered when insurgents attacked his unit using an improvised explosive device, according to a statement issued by the U.S. Department of Defense. He was assigned to the 4th Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Heavy Brigade Combat Team, 1st Infantry Division, based in Fort Riley, Kansas.
