Storms Continue Rolling Through Canton -- 1,200 Without Power

National Weather Service issues thunderstorm watch until 10 p.m., and flood warning.

A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect until 10 p.m., according to a National Weather Service statement. Wind gusts up to 70 miles an hour and there is a possibility of hail up to an inch in diameter.

Several afternoon bursts have cause more than 1,200 DTE customers to lose power, according to the company's outage map.

The weather service also posted an alerts that minor flooding can occur, as more than an inch of rain fell Monday afternoon alone. The runoff could create problems on some streets and underpasses as well as in low-lying areas and poor drainage areas.
