What Should Move Into Former ABC Warehouse Space?

Visions for Vacancies: Electronics retailer has moved to former Borders location; What should go in its place?

When Michigan-based book retailer Borders closed up shop in Canton in 2011 it left a large retail vacancy at its former location, 43435 Ford Road.

More recently, electronics retailer ABC Warehouse claimed the former Borders spot, leaving a vacancy at 41690 Ford Road, its prior Ford Road location just steps from IKEA.

What should move into the former ABC Warehouse spot? The previous ABC Warehouse location was an anchor of a sizable plaza along a busy business corridor. Would another electronics retailer work in this location, or would you like the next business to be one that thinks more outside the box?

What should move into this spot? Tell us in the comments.

Dave and Busters or GameWorks. Costco would be good too!

I was under the impression that IKEA (the owner of the building) had plans for that space.

A place where teens can hang out in the evenings so that they have something to do and don't get into trouble. There's not enough for the kids in the community to do without having to spend money. These kids are going to hukkah bars and hanging out. I think it is time for our community to start focusing on our youth instead of profits and convenience. If our kids have nothing to do, they'll do drugs.

Sorry to break it to you but I was informed by a long standing member of the Canton business community that IKEA owns that building and they will be tearing it down to up-size there IKEA store. The only thing going into that building may be a bulldozer....

I was surprised to see this headline asking this question. I thought that this was old news, "that IKEA was up-sizing" and owned this site.
