We can all agree learning is a good thing. And homework means reinforcement of what our kids are learning in school. But how much homework is too much?
The Atlantic recently published, “My Daughter’s Homework is Killing Me”, a look at what happens when a father, alarmed by his 13-year-old daughter’s school workload, tries to do her homework for a week.
The author cites research that shows homework doesn't contribute in a major way to academic success. He also states that we are living in a peak period of homework assignments, which children averaging 3-4 hours of homework a night after a full day of school.
So we want to know: what do you think of your child’s homework load? Does his or her school manage their assignments with ease or do you have sleep-deprived zombies on your hands? Too little, too much or just right? Tell us what you think!
