Genealogy Workshop

This is the museum's second workshop in a series of workshops on genealogical research. All of the workshops include topics relevant to the Civil War, in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of the start of the war. This workshop features lectures by Kathy Petlewski, a veteran Plymouth librarian, and Ceil Jensen, a certified genealogist.

Petlewski will be speaking about genealogy in cyberspace and researching immigrant ancestors' arrival to the United States. Jensen will discuss civil war research using traditional and digital resources as well as talking about Civil War obituaries, headstones and monuments.

The workshop includes four lectures, lunch and the option to tour the museum's "Rediscovering the Civil War" exhibit.
