"The Day Lincoln Was Shot" Lecture
The Plymouth Historical Museum hosts a free lecture by Lincoln historian Dan Packer called "The Day Lincoln Was Shot: People and Events Leading to the Assassination". Packer will discuss the political and military background at the time of the assassination, give a full account of what we know about the events going on the day the president was shot and finish by talking about how the United States reacted to the traumatic event. Packer is the Plymouth Historical Museum's Lincoln curator and a member of the Plymouth Historical Society board.
