P-C Marching Band takes 2nd Place in State Competition
The Plymouth-Canton High School marching band competed Saturday in the 2011 MCBA Championship at Ford Field in Detroit.
The Plymouth-Canton marching band took 2nd place honors in Flight I of the 2011 Michigan Competing Band Association (MCBA) Championships, which brought 48 bands from across Michigan to Ford Field in Detroit on Saturday.
The band's theme was Ancient Gardens of Babylon, and the performance also earned them a trophy for best music in the flight.
Bands were divided into four flights, with each flight containing 12 performances. An awards ceremony took place after each flight and each band received either a plaque or a trophy, depending on their place.

Trophies were also given for best music, best effect and best marching. Thousands of family members and fans streamed into Ford Field throughout the day to cheer on their school and watch some of the best marching in Michigan.
