Nick Glud, a Plymouth High ninth grader, met his mom Pam Glud at Pioneer Middle School, where students who needed rides were bused after being dismissed from P-CEP for they day.

"We were in gym class when they found out what happened," he said, adding that school officials didn't go into detail as the incident unfolded. He said he went outside to look for a bus and that only three were being used to take students to Pioneer.

"There were cops with big guns," he said adding that he waited on a bus for about 45 minutes before the driver took them to Pioneer, where they arrived at about 11:30. Another student posted a photo of a police officer holding a rifle near a school bus.

Pam Glud said she headed to Pioneer as soon as she saw the school alert, arriving at about 10 a.m. She waited with another parent. While some parents seemed frustrated, the majority of those waiting for students' arrival at Pioneer Middle School exchanged casual conversation.

Others shared their experiences via social media such as Canton Patch's Facebook page.

"Imagine the students reaction? My son was leaving one school to go to another when he saw policemen with weapons drawn," wrote Dora Cardenas. "They were told to go back to 1st hr and others were just made to go to the nearest classroom. Glad he's safe and at home."

Police remain on the scene at P-CEP, collecting evidence and conducting interviews said Canton Police Lt. Mark Schultz. He said no arrests have been made. School officials said they will share more information after conferring with police.
