Plymouth-Canton Schools Accepting School of Choice Applications

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools will be accepting applications beginning April 8.

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools will be accepting nonresident students under Section 105 in the following programs:

• Arts Academy @ The Park, Ninth Grade (limited to 10 students) 
• International Academy @ The Park, Ninth Grade (limited to 10 students) 
• International Academy @ The Park, Tenth Grade (limited to 10 students)

Plymouth-Canton Community Schools will be accepting applications beginning April 8. The deadline for applications is 4 p.m. on April 26. Applications can be completed on the District website at www.pccs.k12.mi.us and also are available at the E.J. McClendon Center, 454 South Harvey Street in Plymouth.

A public lottery will be held to determine acceptance (if needed) on May 1, 2013 at noon at the E.J. McClendon Center, 454 South Harvey Street in Plymouth.

  • High school assignment for all students in Plymouth-Canton Community Schools is determined by random assignment. Nonresident students will be randomly assigned a “home” high school and the International Academy is housed at Plymouth High School. The “home” high school will determine what school’s athletics the student can participate in, as well as their counselor assignment and what school’s graduation the student will participate in.

  • Once accepted to Plymouth-Canton Community Schools, students will continue to be enrolled until they graduate from high school.
  • There is no charge for this program.
  • Parent/Guardian must provide transportation to school.
