Plymouth-Canton Schools Welcome New Teachers

The Board of Education confirmed the hiring of nine new teachers on Tuesday night.

The Board of Education welcomed nine new teachers to the district during its regular meeting Tuesday night.

The new teachers will fill positions based on all of the recent retirements and resignations the district has received, according to Monica Merritt, assistant superintendent of human resources and labor relations

"As we always say, we go out to find the brightest and the best to facilitate teaching and learning for our students," Merritt said.

The new teachers are:

  • Katie Beaudoin, Math at Plymouth HIgh School
  • Matthew Garrison, Social Studies/Science at East Middle School
  • Matthew Johnson, English at Salem High School
  • Katie Perino, Hulsing Elementary
  • Sarah Ruggirello, Bentley Elementary
  • Nicole Sofios, Eriksson Elementary
  • Teresa Stuck, Health at Salem High School
  • Laura Tremonti, Math Intervention Teacher at Hulsing Elementary
  • Natalie Tripp, Hoben Elmentary
