Raymond Schepansky Pleads Guilty to Gun Charge

Former Plymouth High School teacher to return to court on Oct. 28.

Raymond Charles Schepansky pleaded guilty this morning to one count of carrying a concealed weapon without a license and will be sentenced next month.

The former teacher appeared before 3rd Circuit Court Judge David J. Allen.

Schepansky 53, will be back in court on Oct. 28. The gun felony is punishable by up to five years in prison and a fine up to $2,500.

just after 6 a.m. April 14 on the driveway leading to Plymouth High School. Officers removed a 9 mm Beretta from under his car seat, along with two clips, each containing six rounds of ammunition, according to the police report.

He was fired from his teaching job earlier this month amid allegations that he lied about his military history.

At Wednesday's court hearing, he agreed to tender a letter of resignation, meaning he would not fight the district's decision to fire him.
