Boys Soccer: Salem Tops Northville; Canton Shuts Out Livonia Franklin

Salem played host to Northville, which got on the board first with a second-half goal by Chris Palusha.

Salem responded with three unanswered goals, however, starting with Blake Towns scoring with an assist by Jake Pascarella. Salem added an unassisted tally by Chris Dierker, which was scored on a throw-in, and the final score by Pascarella, which was assisted by Dierker.

Salem won the match, 3-1, and improves to 4-5-3 on the season.

Just yards away at Plymouth-Canton, Canton played host to Livonia Franklin at the campus' second field.

The Chiefs piled on six goals against Franklin, including two by Mitch Posuniak, while goaltenders Steven Murphy and Ian Wingate contributed to Canton's shutout.

Dan Ovesea, Griffin Parks, Bryan Ren and Ryan Kilgore each scored a goal apiece en route to the Chiefs' 6-0 victory.

Canton improves to 11-1-1 on the season.
