Plymouth takes advantage of breaks, advances with 40-28 win over cross-campus rival.

The Plymouth Wildcats and Canton Chiefs played it close early Friday in their first-round playoff matchup, with Plymouth jumping to a 17-14 lead at the half.

The third quarter went to the Chiefs, however, as they took a one-point lead over Plymouth, but the fourth quarter went to the Wildcats, who were able to battle for a 40-28 win.

D.J. Rossell led the Wildcats with 293 rushing yards as the Wildcats defeated the Chiefs twice in a year for the first time in the rivalry's history.
