Plymouth Whalers Meet Owen Sound in OHL Western Semi-Finals

The Plymouth Whalers will play the Owen Sound Attack in the best four-of-seven Ontario Hockey League Western Conference semifinal series starting Friday at 7:05 pm at Compuware Arena. 

Here are the dates for the series:

Game 1 – Friday, April 5 – Owen Sound at Plymouth, 7:05 pm, Compuware Arena.

Game 2 – Sunday, April 7 – Owen Sound at Plymouth, 4:05 pm, Compuware Arena.

Game 3 – Tuesday, April 9 – Plymouth at Owen Sound, 7 pm, Bayshore Community Centre.

Game 4 – Wednesday, April 10 – Plymouth at Owen Sound, 7 pm, Bayshore Community Centre.

(*) Game 5 – Friday, April 12 – Owen Sound at Plymouth, 7:05 pm, Compuware Arena.

#2 seed Plymouth advanced to the Western Conference semi-finals by sweeping #7 seed Sarnia in four games.  #3 seed Owen Sound advanced to the Western Conference semi-finals by eliminating #6 seed Sault Ste. Marie in six games.

The other OHL Western Conference semi-final features #1 London against #4 Kitchener.

PLAYOFF HISTORY: Plymouth and Owen Sound have met four times in the OHL playoffs.

2011 – Western Conference Semifinals – Owen Sound eliminated Plymouth, four games-to-none.

2005 – Western Conference Quarterfinals – Owen Sound eliminated Plymouth, four-games-to-none.

2003 – Western Conference Quarterfinals – Plymouth eliminated Owen Sound, four- games-to-none.
