Prep Football Roundup: Salem Closes in on Playoff Berth

Rocks, Wildcats, Chiefs notch Friday victories.

Salem 14, South Lyon 7

Salem is a game away from a state playoff berth after Friday's 14-7 home win against South Lyon, according to the Canton Observer

The Rocks (5-1 overall; 3-1 KLAA Central) will try to earn their sixth win, which would clinch a playoff berth, on Oct. 5 against Livonia Stevenson.

Rocks coach Kurt Britnell told the Observer both quarterback Jake Deprez and wideout Michael Hoover were "nicked up" in the win, which leaves the tandem questionable for Week 7.
