Soccer: Canton Girls Knock Off Northville in District Final
Canton to face Dearborn on Tuesday at regionals in Saline.
A 35-foot free kick by Gabby Epelman sealed the deal for the Canton girls soccer team as the Chiefs knocked off the Northville Mustangs on Saturday, 3-2, in a Division 1 district final, the Canton Observer is reporting.
With its second straight district title in hand, the Chiefs, who moved to 15-2-3 on the year, play Dearborn at 5 p.m. Tuesday in regionals in Saline, the Observer reported.
Northville, losing its first game of the year, ended its season at 17-1-4.
