Whalers Coach to Appear Today on NHL Network

Mike Vellucci to talk about playoff performance of NHL star and former Whaler Tyler Seguin.

Mike Vellucci, the coach, president and general manager of the Plymouth Whalers, will be interviewed at 4:45 p.m. today on the NHL Network's Power Play program, according to a news release from the team.

According to the release, hosts Scott Laughlin and Daniel Winnik will speak with Vellucci about Tyler Seguin's performance in the Boston Bruins' 6-5 Game 2 victory over the Tampa Bay Lightning in the NHL's Eastern Conference Finals.

Seguin scored two goals and tallied two assists to knot the best-of-seven series at one game apiece.

His performance has drawn rave reviews in the media, including a Boston Globe piece predicting Seguin's game as a turning point for the Bruins.

The news release indicated the hosts and Vellucci also will talk about the Whalers and the upcoming Canadian Hockey League MasterCard Memorial Cup.

The NHL Network is channel 638 (1638 in high definition) on AT&T U-verse, channel 737 (259 in HD) on Comcast, channel 215 on DirecTV and channel 403 for Dish Network subscribers in the Plymouth area.
