Canton Opens Cooling Centers to Beat the Heat

With temperatures exceeding 90 degrees most of this week, Canton offers residents refuge from heat.

Canton Township has designated both Summit on the Park and the Canton Public Library to be "cooling centers" for anyone who needs a place to get out of the heat and relax in an air-conditioned environment. 

If going to the Summit, residents are asked to please sign in at the front desk. 

Hours:  
Canton Public Library, Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 12-6 p.m. 

Summit on the Parkway, Monday through Friday 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Saturday 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
