Colors, Lights Soar Over Plymouth at Fireworks Show
Fireworks display at Plymouth Township Park draws thousands.
After a midday thunderstorm provided some flashes of light and thunderous booms of its own in Plymouth, the show went on for Plymouth Township's annual Fourth of July fireworks display.
The threat of a cancellation didn't sway the thousands who crowded for the illuminous display. An hour after the 35-minute exhibition concluded, cars still were filing out of the park toward Ann Arbor Trail.
The fireworks precede today's Independence Day events, which include the Good Morning USA and , before the festivities return to the township park for the .
