Olympics: Canton's Jeff Porter Ousted in 110-Meter Hurdles

Porter starts strong, then hits four hurdles en route to 13.41 finish.

Canton's Jeff Porter of Team USA was ousted Wednesday in the 110-meter high hurdle event at the London Olympics, according to the Detroit Free Press.

According to the Free Press, Porter got off to a solid start before hitting four hurdles, finishing fifth and failing to advance to the finals.

Porter knocked down four hurdles en route to his 13.41 finish, the Free Press reported.

His wife, Tiffany Porter, was eliminated Tuesday from the women's 100-meter hurdle semifinal, where she competed for Great Britain.

The Porters both were standouts on the track at the University of Michigan.
