Photos: Plymouth Community Band Honors Nation, Veterans at Concert

Band performs patriotic songs, honors veterans at Kellogg Park concert.

The Plymouth Community Band honored the United States and its veterans Thursday during a concert at .

Led by director Carl Battishill, the band of local musicians entertained the downtown Plymouth crowd to patriotic favorites, such as Irving Berlin's God Bless America, John Williams' Olympic Fanfare, Lee Greenwood's God Bless the USA and John Philip Sousa's Stars and Stripes Forever March.

Hundreds braved the heat on a day where temperatures broke 100 degrees while the band and crowd honored the brave, saluting veterans in each of the U.S. military branches.
