Fiddler collective from Saline takes amphitheater stage at Canton's Heritage Park.

Crowds braved signs of rainy weather Thursday to watch the Saline Fiddlers, a collective of young Washtenaw County musicians, take the amphitheater stage.

The performance Thursday kicked off the weekly concert series.

The Saline Fiddlers kept the crowd entertained with its mix of bluegrass, country, folk and pop.

Despite ominous clouds hanging overhead, the concert remained dry, save for the occasional sprinkle, and the crowds who parked their lawnchairs in front of the stage were undeterred.

The free concerts take place at 7:30 p.m. each Thursday at the park and are open to the public.
