The Fourth of July is just days away, and a variety of events in Plymouth and Canton will help mark the occasion.

From the annual Fourth of July parade in downtown Plymouth and after-parade picnic in Plymouth Township to concerts in both Plymouth and Canton heading into the weekend, there's plenty to do in the area this week to enjoy and honor the holiday.

Plymouth Township’s annual fireworks display is 10 p.m. on July 3. Open to the public, free of charge. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Vehicles at the park may be subject to parking fee.

July 4

Good Morning USA July 4 Pancake Breakfast

Visitors to downtown Plymouth for the parade July 4 can enjoy a stack of pancakes at the Gathering pavilion from 6-11 a.m.

The annual Good Morning USA Parade takes place at 9 a.m. July 4 in downtown Plymouth. The parade steps off at 9 a.m. from Main Street at Theodore and runs to Main at Hartsough.

Live music, food and family-friendly activities will be at Plymouth Township Park after the July 4 parade.

July 5

The Saline Fiddlers perform June 21 at Heritage Park in Canton as part of the community’s weekly Thursday night concerts.

July 6

  • 7 p.m.
  • , Ann Arbor Trail and South Main Street, Plymouth

Local favorites Steve King and the Dittilies will bring classic rock to Kellogg Park in downtown Plymouth, starting at 7 p.m. Show up early, as this is bound to draw big crowds.

Vocalist Penny Wells will perform at the New Towne Center near Kohls.
