Plymouth Michigan Real Estate Market Report for April

If you’ve been hearing the news lately, buyers have been flooding the Plymouth housing market lately looking for a great spring deal!

This is great news for home sellers hoping to attract a qualified buyer and get a great price on their property.

Today, I’m going to tell you about some of the recent activity being seen on the local housing market.

Homes for Sale in Plymouth

Here’s a brief overview of recent activity on the Plymouth housing market:
•Currently there are 168 homes for sale on the market, including nearly 90 that are in some stage of the foreclosure process.
•Between December and February, the average price per square foot for Plymouth homes was $131, up 15.9 percent when compared to the year before.
•Meanwhile, the median sales price for homes was $195,000 based on 143 homes for sale.
•When compared to the same period last year, the median home sales price has increased 21.2 percent, or $34,142.
•And the number of home sales increased 23.3 percent.
•Broken down further, the median sales price for 2-bedroom Plymouth homes was $111,450 during the week ending on March 20.
•The median sales price for 3-bedroom homes was $253,500.
•And the median sales price for 4-bedroom homes was $183,250.
•When it came to median sales price, here’s how other communities stacked up:◦Westland, MI: $71,000
◦Livonia, MI: - $123,900
◦Northville, MI: - $336,835
◦Belleville, MI: $124,799
◦Novi, MI: $167,615

•During the week ending on March 20, the average listing price for Plymouth homes was $335,035, down 3.5 percent when compared to the week before.
•During that previous week, the average listing price was $347,000.
