Five Things You Need to Know Friday, June 3

For one thing, it's Friday. For another: pancakes.

One: OK, earlybirds, here is a chance to do something fun and healthful while getting fresh air:  Outdoors Yoga Fit® starts today at 8:30 a.m. Dress for comfortable movement and meet at Summit on the Park's Maple room.

Two: Fourth Wish and Barbara Rosene are scheduled to celebrate the music of Jerome Kern at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill, starting at 8 p.m. today. Tickets cost $12 for students and seniors, $15 for adults. For details, call 734-394-5460.

Three: Canton Public Library has openings for teen volunteers to help out during the summer. Applicants must be between the ages of 14 and 18). The work includes helping patrons with computer and Internet-related questions. Applicants must have a customer-service oriented attitude.

Four: Hundreds of volunteers are needed Saturday for Save the Rouge Day. The event is 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Lower Rouge Recreational Trail. Volunteers will help doings debris pick-up, native plantings, birdhouse building, nature walk/environmental education and woody debris management activities. Light breakfast and lunch provided. Five: Sunday is all-you-can-eat pancake day at the Canton Farmers Market. The events is a fundraiser for Cherry Hill Village's homeowners' association. Tickets are $7 in advance and $7.50 the day of the event. Visit www.mychv.com for details.
