Good Morning, Canton! ~ Carol and Dennis Heminger

Dennis and Carol Heminger volunteer every year, several times each season as Salvation Army bell ringers.

Carol and Dennis Heminger spent at least two hours of their Christmas Eve standing outside , 520 S. Lilley Rd., depite chilling temperatures and an overcast sky.

They each rang a small handbell, smiling and thanking passersby who dropped money into the red kettle hanging on a stand nearby, marked "Food" on one side and "Warmth" on the other. The donations support efforts by Salvation Army workers to help those in need.

The Hemingers volunteer every year, several times each season. "It's a family tradition," said Carol Heminger.
