Do not be afraid; in this new rendition, Hansel and Gretel are in the company of guardian angels as they go deep into the woods looking for berries. Shock-tober continues this week with The Phantom of the Opera (1943). Violinist Claudin hopelessly loves soprano Christine Dubois and secretly aids her career. But Claudin loses both his touch and his job, murders a rascally music publisher in a fit of madness, and has his face etched with acid. Soon, mysterious crimes plague the Paris Opera House, blamed on a legendary "phantom" whom none can find in the mazes and catacombs. Christine's lovers have plans to ferret him out.4. First Responders Memorial Dedication
The official dedication ceremony for the Wayne County First Responders Memorial built in Hines Park, at the corner of Hines Drive and Haggerty Road in Plymouth Township will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. Attendees will include Wayne County Commissioners, mayors, police, fire, EMS personnel and family members of those who lost their lives in the line of duty.Get more local news delivered straight to your inbox.
