Liberty Fest Events and More This Weekend

Patch is here to make your life ridiculously easy, so as you sit down today and plan your weekend, here are four events you should know about in the Plymouth-Canton area.

1. America's Most Wanted Car Show

  • When: Saturday, June 15, 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • Where: Heritage Park
  • What: America's Most Wanted Car Club of Canton will host the 22nd Annual Canton Liberty Fest Car Show. Car owners will donate $20.00 per car to register on the day of the show. Spectators are welcome at no charge.  Just enjoy all beautiful cars at the show.  

2. Canton Liberty Run

  • When: Saturday, June 15, 8 a.m. 
  • Where: Lower Rouge Trail
  • What: Run, walk or stroll the beautiful 3.1 mile or 6.2 mile flat, fast and accurate courses through neighborhood streets and the natural beauty of the Lower Rouge Trail … dressed as the Statue of Liberty! Liberty Run Entry includes a 3 piece Statue of Liberty costume!

3. Lions Club Pancake Breakfast

  • When: Saturday, June 15, 7 a.m.
  • Where: Heritage Park
  • What: All you can eat pancakes cooked on the griddle, served with juice and coffee. Cost is $5 for adults and $3 for children. All proceeds benefit the Canton Lions Club charities. Be sure to take advantage of a free hearing check from the Lions Hearing Center staff during this event. There will also be a Strolling Character Meet-and-Greet for kids. 

4. Plymouth Reign Soccer Tryouts

  • When: Saturday and Sunday, June 15-16, 8 a.m.
  • Where: Hines Park Soccer Fields
  • What: Bring a copy of your player's birth certificate, WSSL (U8-U12) or MSPSP (U13-U18) player registration form (2 copies), MSYSA Medical Release Form (2 copies - notarized), Parent & Athlete Concussion Information Sheet, and a 1.5" by 1.5" player photo with you along with your checkbook or credit card to tryouts. Team positions will be offered and Club Registration taken during Tryouts.
