Michigan Phil Concert, Mr. Peanut and More This Weekend

1. Taste of Canton

  • When: Friday, June 28, 7-11 p.m.
  • Where: Pilgrim Village, 7655 Balmoral Dr Canton
  • What: Experience the diverse cultures in cuisine with The Taste of Canton Charity Pool Party for Open Door Food Ministry. Enjoy Canton restaurants, caterers, bakeries and independent product vendors pool side with great music, exotic juice bar, dancing and giveaways.

2. Mr. Peanut, Planters Nutmobile at Busch's

  • When: Saturday, June 29, 11 a.m. -5 p.m.
  • Where: Busch's, 15185 Sheldon Rd., Plymouth
  • What: Join Mr. Peanut, complete with his top hat & monocle, for photos, fun, coupons and free samples! Plus, you can take a sneak peek inside his biodiesel-powered vehicle and learn how this peanut-shaped vehicle is making a difference!

3. Annual Shred-It Day at Community Financial

  • When: Saturday, June 29, 2-4 p.m.
  • Where: Community Financial Plymouth, 500 S. Harvey Street; Community Financial Canton at 6355 N. Canton Center Rd.
  • What: Community Financial Credit Union is urging consumers and members to recycle their sensitive financial documents and keep their identities safe at the same time. Residents are encouraged to bring their sensitive materials to shred safely and securely. There is a limit of two shopping bags or bankers boxes of materials per car at the event.  

4. Michigan Phil in Kellogg Park

  • When: Saturday, June 29, 7:30 p.m.
  • Where: Kellogg Park, Plymouth
  • What: Nan Washburn and the Michigan Philharmonic present 
    An American Salute, a free concert.
