I'm so disappointed in Holiday Market. As a local business, I thought they'd support local organizations. I work with a youth group from a local church that was trying to raise money for a well-known, reputable charity. The youth wrote a nice letter and hand-delivered it to Holiday Market asking if they would be able to contribute anything to the charity. After not hearing anything, one of the kids called Holiday Market and spoke to the owner. She was extraordinarily rude and refused to even listen, saying that they don't contribute to such charities (the charity was to help feed underprivileged children). If Holiday Market did not want to donate, that's fine, but this woman's rudeness was inexcusable. I'm not mad about the fact they didn't want to donate, but I am very mad about the way the young lady from our youth group was spoken to and treated. It was just mean - especially when the kids are just trying to do something good. After this experience, my family will never shop at Holiday Market again and we are spreading the word about what happened in the hopes that others will keep it in mind next time they considering shopping at Holiday Market.
