My favorite concert was August 8th, 1974 at then Pine Knob, we were there to see Joni Mitchell. SheRead More stopped the concert midway and announced Richard Nixon had resigned and went to say something to her band. She then stated playing/singing the national anthem, as we all did with lighters lit. I truly believed the country started to heal right, then and now.

Had to be the early 70s when opening night was Detroit's academy awards. We all waited outside forRead More one person. Hank the Dues's wife to show up in her dress she would almost be wearing. Great times. Limos everywhere. No Hank though. Meadow Brook was good until basket search.
