Patch just isn't the same anymore and I don't enjoy it like I used to.

When did the "Dexter Patch" become the "Greater Detroit Area Patch". I lovedRead More all the articles about my home town. I don't even want to subscribe anymore. The articles are not relevant to my town. If I want the doom and gloom, I will turn on the TV and watch the Detroit news stations.

This is the first story from the patch I have read in a while because it is no longer appealing toRead More me now I just realized why not very local. With that said this band is ABOSOLLUTLEY right to file a suite to protect their name and fans. I'm not even close to being one but think about how STUPID the reasons are to put all these people in the same group and on a "gang list" REALLY?. That is absurd!!! what if a lot of seniors were arrested when younger for something should that make ALL SENIORS on a "gang list"?

I've got to go with Wonder Woman. No. 1, she's a woman and we girls have to stick together. No. 2, IRead More grew up on a cattle ranch and a magic lasso would've been a super thing to have. That is all.

Just another example of 4% shoving their values down the country's throat. And if you voice yourRead More opinion then you are labeled a bigot and hater. I don't hate anyone, but can certainly disapprove of their conduct.

I agree that name calling isn't an ingredient for a fruitful discussion or meaningful dialogue. InRead More respectful response to the above post, a July 2013 Gallup poll says 52% of Americans support gay marriage. To your other point, one can certainly disapprove of another’s conduct. However, the issue is whether or not people can legally marry someone of the same gender. It’s not about approval of it. Society evolves and laws do, too. More and more people recognize that gay and lesbian people exist. We can evolve our laws to include American citizens who are not heterosexual but want to formally commit to another person. Are their desires to marry just as legally legitimate as heterosexuals’ desires? You can still disapprove of any behavior you deem immoral. However, should it be illegal? Should it be illegal if two consenting adults want to enter into a formal union? This is not an alien concept in the U.S. For example, while I may disapprove of racist speech because I think it’s immoral, I recognize that American citizens have the right to espouse their beliefs without fear of government reprisal.

We know polls can be bias. Perhaps the more accurate poll is the voting booth whereRead More marriage(traditional) has been reenforced. In Utah it was passed by 66%, yet a liberal federal judge feels he has to power to overturn the electorate. God's law like the laws of physics(ie gravity) don't evolve. All of Western law including the United States, is based on Judeo-Christian ethics. The Declaration of Independence didn't state we were endowed with inalienable rights by the evolving cultural attitudes of the day. Marriage has always been and will always be between a man and a woman. They can pass all the laws they want to mimic it and I don't deny anyone the right to do that, but it's not marriage. My issue is with companies that promote this agenda. Unfortunately, the current administration does NOT hold your beliefs," without fear of government reprisal" they have used the IRS to punish conservative & Christian organizations and individuals for their beliefs for the past
