Visions for Vacancies: Electronics retailer has moved to former Borders location; What should go in its place?
When Michigan-based book retailer Borders closed up shop in Canton in 2011 it left a large retail vacancy at its former location, 43435 Ford Road. More recently, electronics retailer ABC Warehouse claimed the former Borders spot, leaving a vacancy at 41690 Ford Road, its prior Ford Road location just steps from IKEA. What should move into the former ABC Warehouse spot? The previous ABC Warehouse location was an anchor of a sizable plaza along a busy business corridor. Would another electronics retailer work in this location, or would you like the next business to be one that thinks more outside the box? What should move into this spot? Tell us in the comments.
