Canton Names Gregory Sprys-Tellner New Deputy Fire Chief
Sprys-Tellner began new role on Nov. 26, will earn new badge Dec. 11 at Board of Trustees meeting.
After an intensive assessment center process, Fire Captain Gregory Sprys-Tellner has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Fire Chief, according to a news release from the Canton Township Department of Public Safety. Sprys-Tellner began his new position on Nov. 26, and is scheduled to formally receive his new badge at the Canton Board of Trustees meeting on Dec. 11, according to the news release. Sprys-Tellner, 46, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Clearly University. Sprys-Tellner was hired on to the department in 1987 as a Firefighter, and was promoted to Captain in 2010.
