Attack at Plymouth Township Kroger Leads to Attempted Murder Charge

Westland woman charged with attempted murder, other felonies.

An Oct. 4 attack at Kroger in Plymouth Township resulted in the hospitalization of an employee and a 48-year-old Westland woman facing attempted murder and other felony charges, the Plymouth Observer reported. According to the Observer, a pipe-wielding assailant struck the employee, a 58-year-old St. Claire Shores woman, at least once in the head just before 11 a.m. on Oct. 4. The woman was treated at St. Mary Mercy Hospital in Livonia and released, the report said. Plymouth Officer Matt Stoops confronted the attacker, who then dropped the pipe, Lt. Jamie Grabowski of the Plymouth police told the Observer.  According to the report, the woman had been stocking shelves when the woman with the pipe accused the employee of killing her mother…
