Attorney General's Office Will Prosecute I-96 Shooting Suspect

43-year-old Raulie Casteel is charged with multiple felonious counts related to shootings spanning four counties.

Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette announced Tuesday that his office will lead the prosecution of I-96 shooting suspect, 43-year-old Raulie Casteel, of Wixom, for crimes police say he committed in three counties. The case assignment to the AG's Criminal Division came at the request of of Livingston County Prosecutor David Morse, Ingham County Prosecutor Stuart Dunnings III and Shiawassee County Prosecutor Randy Colbry. Oakland County Prosecutor Jessica Cooper will continue to handle the case filed in that county. "I believe it is beneficial for the prosecution of this case and for the convenience of the witnesses to have a single source of prosecution," Morse said in a press release.
