Help Busch's Provide Food for Low-Income Families
Busch's Fresh Food Market in Plymouth is hosting its annual "All About Children" Food Drive from May 6 to 15.
One in four Metro Detroit children depend on free and reduced lunch programs provided by local schools, according to Larry Weber, food donor manager at Forgotten Harvest, which distributes food to local food banks across southeast Michigan. With the school year coming to a close, low-income families face the challenge of feeding their children without the free and reduced lunches and breakfasts provided by their schools. Busch's Fresh Food Market in Plymouth and locations across southeast Michigan are teaming up with Forgotten Harvest and other area food banks to host a food drive that focuses on families and children.
